Amendment to Ontario’s product and appliance energy efficiency regulation

An amendment to Ontario’s Energy Efficiency regulation (O. Reg. 509/18) under the Electricity Act, 1998 was filed on June 30 as O. Reg. 334/20. This amendment harmonizes Ontario’s efficiency standards for nine products with Natural Resources Canada, increases efficiency requirements for residential windows to align with Ontario Building Code minimum requirements, and makes other editorial changes.
