CFIB Seeking Member Input on Federal Procurement and Buy Canadian Policy

Dear Members,
Our colleagues at the Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB) are seeking feedback from businesses that have experience with - or an interest in - supplying goods or services to the Government of Canada.
CFIB is gathering input on the federal procurement process and the Government of Canada’s evolving Buy Canadian Policy. The policy is intended to increase the use of Canadian suppliers, products, and services in government purchasing, and CFIB wants to better understand how these initiatives may affect small and medium-sized businesses.
They are particularly interested in hearing about:
Experiences with federal procurement, both positive and negative;
Challenges that make it difficult to participate in federal procurement opportunities, along with suggestions for improvement; and
General perspectives on the Buy Canadian Policy and its potential impacts on your business.
Fenestration Canada encourages members with relevant experience to share their perspectives. Your feedback will help CFIB advocate for practical improvements to federal procurement policies and ensure the voices of Canadian SMEs are reflected as these initiatives continue to develop.
If you are interested in contributing, please email adrian@fenestrationcanada.ca. I'm happy to either share your input or connect you directly to CFIB. They have also offered themselves via a Teams meeting to discuss further.
Sincerely,
Adrian Edge - Director of Codes & Regulatory Affairs
