We are pleased to announce the release of Glass Properties for Thermal Comfort paper for Fenestration Canada Members.
SUMMARY
This paper proposes a way of simplifying and presenting available information on glass characteristics
computed using Berkeley Lab WINDOW software to facilitate practical decision-making about the
selection of insulating glass options to minimize occupant discomfort under winter and summer
conditions. It proposes the use of several relevant, comfort-related data fields generated by WINDOW
that are not commonly reported: winter and summer indoor glass surface temperature and Relative
Heat Gain.
