Fenestration Canada Welcomes Three New Members to its Board of Directors

Fenestration Canada is pleased to announce the appointment of three new members to its Board of Directors: Maria Jasminez, Amber Mengede, and Kyle Cartwright. Their appointments were announced at the Spring Conference and reflect Fenestration Canada's commitment to strong industry leadership and representation across Canada's fenestration industry.


Maria Jasminez - Marketing Manager, Building Products, Sherwin-Williams


Maria Jasminez is a senior marketing leader with nearly 30 years of experience in the fenestration and building products industry. Her expertise spans aluminum storm doors, fiberglass entry doors, and performance coatings, providing a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing, performance standards, and evolving market dynamics.


She has been a highly engaged contributor to Fenestration Canada, serving on multiple committees in both Chair and Co-Chair capacities, and was honored with the organization’s President’s Award in recognition of her leadership and contributions.


Maria is committed to strengthening industry collaboration, supporting high standards, and contributing to the continued growth and advancement of the fenestration sector.



Amber Mengede - Technical Business Development Manager, Cascadia Windows & Doors


Amber is a seasoned construction and fenestration specialist with over twelve years of experience in the industry. She is currently the Technical Business Development Manager at Cascadia Windows & Doors, where she provides technical guidance and collaborates with architects, building envelope consultants, contractors, clients and other stakeholders to deliver high-performance fenestration solutions, sound building envelope design, and value-engineered options.


Amber holds a diploma in Architectural Building Engineering Technology from BCIT, graduating with honors. She is passionate about energy-efficient buildings, sustainable design, and supporting the industry through education, collaboration, and sharing knowledge for the collective good.


Kyle Cartwright - Technical Manager, Westeck Windows & Doors


Kyle Cartwright is the Technical Manager at Westeck Windows & Doors and brings nearly 25 years of diverse experience across the fenestration industry, with expertise spanning manufacturing, operations, product development, technical leadership, and customer engagement.


He has been a highly engaged contributor to Fenestration Canada, serving as Chair of the Pacific Chapter for the past three years and as Chair of the newly established Future NAFS Task Group. In addition, he has actively participated in numerous technical task groups, steering committees, and industry initiatives focused on advancing product performance and technical excellence.


Kyle has also played a meaningful role in the development of new CSA standards, including those related to fenestration installation and in-situ air and water performance testing. His contributions have helped strengthen industry best practices while supporting the adoption of more rigorous and effective performance standards.
