FENESTRATION CANADA PRESS RELEASE
Fenestration Canada adds Adrian Edge to its team.
June 20th, 2024, Toronto, ON – Fenestration Canada is proud to welcome Adrian Edge to its technical team, as Director - Codes and Regulatory Affairs.
"Adrian knows what we need to do to support our members because he experienced the day to day challenges first-hand in his current and past positions in the industry. Adding him to the team was an easy decision for us and we are all really excited to work with him. His passion for the industry and his attention to details makes him the perfect fit", says Stéphane Labelle, Executive Director.
M.Edge will work under the guidance of Fenestration Canada's Technical Director, Terry Adamson:
"As Technical Director with FenCan I am very pleased to see the addition of another resource that will expand our ability to provide great service to our members. The growth of our membership confirms to me that members value the work the technical department does, and the addition of Adrian Edge will enhance our ability to focus on the needs and expectations of our membership. I look forward to working with Adrian and what he will bring to our technical resource support."
When asked about his upcoming role, M.Edge had the following to say:
"To the members and community of Fenestration Canada: I am deeply humbled and monumentally excited to share my transition to the role of Director of Codes and Regulatory Affairs for Fenestration Canada. Over the last five years, I've enjoyed guiding our Pacific Chapter. Now in good hands with Kyle Cartwright supported by a great community. Working with the Certification Scheme Committee and various task groups to develop the groundwork for a national certification system for window and door installers, and supporting many of our other task groups.
In this role, I'm dedicated to three core goals in support of our manufacturers and the Canadian Fenestration industry as a whole.
As a representation of our members, I am looking to build strong, long-lasting relationships with the various representatives involved in the codes and regulations that govern our industry and work toward a shared vision of how the future of Fenestration could look.
I will document, educate, and share to bring better clarity and transparency to the framework and decision-making about the codes and regulatory efforts that affect us.
Last, I will act as your champion in the various arenas to advocate for language both simpler and more effective so we, as an industry, can regularly practice within the guidelines of the codes and ensure enforcement of those guidelines is practical.
Excited to work for you all. Look forward to supporting you all very soon.
Adrian Edge will officially begin his new role in September 2024
