Jonathan Layton has been with Layton since 2011, and as the founder’s son, he grew up with engineering in his blood. In addition to a construction background, he received a diploma in Engineering Design and Drafting Technology from Lethbridge College and an MBA from Trinity Western University. Following the sudden passing of his father Mark in October 2015, Jonathan succeeded him as CEO of the firm and continues the instrumental legacy in the glazing industry created by his father. Additionally, as a Certified Thermal Simulator by the National Fenestration Rating Council, Jonathan is actively involved in thermal analysis and advocates for his clients in meeting energy requirements for both residential and commercial applications. The team affectionately refers to Jonathan by his nickname, ‘JoMo’ which is indicative of his captivating energy and personality.
