Guidance document on the Formaldehyde Emissions from Composite Wood Products Regulations
Hello, I would like to know if the new guidance document published on December 23th, 2022 from Health Canada affect the wood windows and doors insdustry and if so, what do we have to look at ?
Please, see : Guidance document on the Formaldehyde Emissions from Composite Wood Products Regulations - Canada.ca
To my understanding, the wood windows and doors are out of the scope, unless they use a lot of veneer in their production.
Do you have some info or clarification for me on this.
Thanks,
PLB

Hi Pierre-Luc. As mentioned in our communication the new regulations will impact labeling of products containing formaldehyde. We are working with the folks at WDMA and following up to our letter to Health Canada to acquire additional information. Will update you as we get new info.
