Position Overview: Competition Glass is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Manager to join our Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with client requirements and organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Review and Planning:
Review project estimates to ensure conformance with award documents.
Analyze overall project design and specifications to identify key deliverables.
Assess and finalize starting budgets in alignment with project scope.
Documentation and Submittals:
Create and maintain up-to-date and accurate project documents.
Manage and direct the production of all required submittal documentation and samples.
Client and Contractor Management:
Oversee and process client or contractor change requests and amendments.
Communicate directly with clients to coordinate material and labor schedules.
Resolve any client issues promptly and professionally.
Procurement and Production:
Manage all material purchasing for the project.
Issue and oversee all shop fabrication and production releases.
Order and manage rework as required to meet project specifications.
Scheduling and Coordination:
Develop and coordinate labor and material schedules for each project.
Ensure timely delivery of materials and labor to meet project deadlines.
Financial Oversight:
Work to consistently improve budget lines and increase project profitability.
Submit accurate monthly progress billing documents.
Project Closeout:
Create and manage site paperwork.
Complete and close out all project paperwork in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
Project management experience is preferred.
Experience in the glazing or construction industry will be an asset.
Strong understanding of project design, specifications, and budget management.
Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
