Networking & Social Events

In addition to having a great line up of education sessions, the Fenestration Canada Annual General Meeting and Conference allows you to connect with colleagues. There are plenty of opportunities for you to catch up with friends and learn what is happening in the sector. There is something for everyone.

Thursday, June 1, 2017 from 5:30 pm - 11:45 pm

The night begins with a tour on the Harbour Queen of the Halifax harbour.  Relax onboard the ship and take in the view of the charming seaside city. With miles of shore line guarded by George's Island and its graceful lighthouse, guests can keep a look out for marine life while enjoying a cold drink and hors d'oeuvres. If you choose to participate, you can haul on lines with the crew, set sails or steer from the helm.

It wouldn’t be a visit to the east coast without having lobster!  Murphy’s Restaurant offers a casual dining experience that specializes in seafood. Sitting on the edge of the longest extending wharf on the Halifax waterfront, the restaurant provides unobstructed views of a bustling Harbour, George's Island, and even McNabs Island from every seat.

After dinner sit back and enjoy the music of local music legend Signal Hill.

Signal Hill is a four-man acoustic rock band from St. John’s, Newfoundland, currently based out of Halifax. Winning the best band and best cover band several times in The Coast (Halifax) reader's poll, as recently as 2013, Signal Hill has been a mainstay in the east coast music scene for years. The formula is simple: great songs you know and love, solid, rich four part vocal and acoustic guitar arrangements, and miles and miles of energy!

Dress Code: Business Casual.

(Dress also for the weather as you will walk from the hotel to the venue).

The Welcome Event is included in the "Full Delegate" and "Companion Packages".  Additional tickets are available for purchase when you register. Event includes Harbour tour with light refreshments, lobster dinner, all entertainment and two drink tickets. Cash bar available.
